Gulf Coast Poker Championship Returns to Beau Rivage

MGM MIRAGE’s Beau Rivage will host the 2008 Gulf Coast Poker Championship August 26-Sept. 6. The series will feature 12 action-filled days of 12 tournament events with buy-ins from $175 up to $5,000 for the championship event. There will be daily No-Limit Hold’em Tournaments, $500 buy-in +$50 entry fee; Nightly Tournaments, $175 buy-in + $25 entry fee; and $300 buy-in +$30 entry fee Mega Satellites for the championship event every afternoon. Beau Rivage will also host three Mega Satellites on Sept. 3, each with a $500 buy-in + $40 entry fee.

Women from all over the country will descend upon the Mississippi Gulf Coast to compete in the popular LIPS Ladies No-Limit Texas Hold’em Tournament. The $300 buy-in + $40 entry fee event is scheduled for Sunday, August 31.

For a $5000 buy-in + $150 entry fee, players can compete in the Gulf Coast Poker Championship main event, which is expected to draw more than two hundred participants. In addition to an anticipated million-dollar prize pool, the winner of the championship event will receive a bracelet and a $10,000 buy-in to the World Poker Tour Southern Poker Classic at Beau Rivage January 16-19, 2009.
